Been here so many times, from owner opened up his restaurant at a corner coffee shop till moving at present at Taman Orkid, always enjoyed his Signature Steamed Fish Head in different styles of cooking like ginger, garlic, Ipoh sauce & the best of course it is the Original. Once you bring your family, it is either you love it or you hate it, luckily I love it & recently had it & the taste is still the same. Thank you we have it in Cheras & convenient for us, always a big crowd & the wait is worth it.

Visited this place for a family-style meal and everything we ordered was solid. The steamed fish head really stood out — the sauce was well balanced with a slight tanginess, and the fish was tender with no fishy taste at all. The salted fish pork belly claypot was very fragrant, rich but not greasy, and perfect with rice. The signature tofu, made with handmade fish paste, was soft, smooth, and full of flavour — definitely not the usual starchy version you get elsewhere. We also enjoyed the prawn paste chicken wings, which were aromatic and addictive, and the lotus root with celery, which was crisp and refreshing, a nice balance to the heavier dishes. Finished the meal with a pumpkin barley drink, light and pleasant. Overall, a place that feels reliable and comforting — you can tell why many regulars keep coming back. Great for family meals and gatherings.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Super satisfying dinner! Highly recommended! We came to Tasty Way Big Tree Fish Head for dinner and every dish seriously exceeded expectations. The steamed fish head was incredibly fresh, tender, and full of flavour — one of the best I’ve had in KL. The curry fish head was rich, aromatic, and perfect with rice. The side dishes were also on point — especially the crispy yam basket, stir-fried long beans, and the deep-fried snacks with dipping sauce. Everything tasted like proper home-style comfort food but done really well. Portions are generous, service is fast, and the environment is lively — exactly what you want for a good family-style Chinese dinner. Definitely a place I’ll return to!
